Kain himself proclaimed I am of free will, not bound to the Wheel of Fate. He found his coin toss that landed on the edge when I was being devoured by the same sword that is destined and foretold to hold my very spirit and soul within it. Kain found that instant where history and events could be changed, where one could throw another toss of the coin, a better one. Drawing the sword from me, he saved me from becoming trapped within the blade, altering everything in history that was to span from my capture!
But even still, I have my doubts. A fear hangs like a cloud over me: did we truly avoid fate...or simply delay it? Is one of true free-will still doomed to enact what destiny foretells? It's all maddening, really.
