3rd Confession [Action]
[When Vash had finally conked back out (him and his stupid Malnosso kidnapping problems...), Wolfwood took at as a chance to sneak away to the bar—this 'Seventh Heaven' place, as Meryl had worked at the other place and he wasn't too sure he wanted to think quietly there.
Drinking certainly had its perks, and a light buzz was often something that got Wolfwood by the occasional bout of worried aggression. But trying not to think about things was a little more difficult that usual.
Of course, he had his crucifix with him propped in a nearby corner, as he was fairly certain he didn't want to encounter anything negative without it. Luceti was relatively peaceful. Nothing, other than the kidnappings, had been happening within town. But... it wasn't enough to just assume. He didn't like getting cozy and then finding himself unshielded from a looming danger... That was famiiiiliar territory back in Nostaglia Land, and he was not ready to tread it anytime soon.
He wonders a few things. Did Vash actually hurt or... kill Legato? Or was the man just screwing with him?
And did Vash know Legato had killed him? It was hard to say... Bringing it up would be a whole new issue. No, no, what the hell was he doing? He always got into these thoughtful ruts. He just had to shake himself loose and avoid this whole 'mulling over' thing. Just sit up straight and don't let it get to you, like usual...
He murmurs, eyes directed at his shot glass.]
I must be losing my edge.
[And sighs against the palm of his hand.]
Dammit, Needle Noggin, how'd this all get so difficult?

[Action]
[It's not sure what Wolfwood thinks, but there are issues he wants perfectly clear. Half the reason Sanji knows nothing is because he never pushed.]
And... I know. [A corner of his mouth lifts up while he slips back into thought] That's one thing I can pick up on - when he's happy. If that shithead Legato wasn't around... [Eh. He waves that issue over like a trail of smoke, because Legato is around and there's no point wishing for things that won't change yet
Re: [Action]
[It was good to hear, really. That people were so cautious around Vash, for the own man's sake. The guy's past really was something, after all.
He goes to put out his near-dead cigarette and hesitates for a moment, shoulders stiffening at the mention of Legato's name. And calmly continues putting out his cigarette after that very short beat of thought.]
Legato is almost impossible to detain. Needle noggin would like to think he can bargain or shift the man's beliefs, but...
[He leans back on his seat, frowning down.]
That was one monster you can't change. So all we can do is learn how to keep him 'caged'.
[Action]
Is this monster still made of flesh?
Re: [Action]
Namely to Vash—I would be lying if I said that wasn't his mission in his so-called 'worthless' human life. Which is why you and anyone Vash knows is in danger. Though I'm sure Vash hasn't been subtle about this point.
[Action]
And I'm not saying Legato's not dangerous, but- [he leans back, against the counter] - he's gonna find out this place holds all kinds. Many of which he can't control. If he starts anything, the entire town will be on him.
The real question is how many casualties he'll take with him.
Re: [Action]
He can even kill people without them knowing he was their murderer.
[A pause.]
Your best bet... is finding the ones he can't control. And hope that he doesn't use the people he can control against them.
[Action]
What a shitty mess. He's pouring himself another drink] Want anything else?
Re: [Action]
Got anything stronger than this?
[Action]
I've got plenty. All depends on how much you wanna remember of tonight.
Re: [Action]
Ha, but I've got to at least try your worst.
[And the obligatory motion for a handshake.]
Th'name's Wolfwood, by the way. But you probably already know that.
[Action]
It's Sanji. Not shitty Twinkle Toes, no matter what that idiot tells you.
[and once the introductions are over, he reaches underneath the bar for the hard stuff, courtesy of Jack Harkness.]
Hypervodka. [Pouring him a nice, healthy shot] You might want a chaser to go with it.
Re: [Action]
[He rubs his chin, eyeballing the shot.]
And what's your relationship to this particular brand?
[AKA, how many did it take and did you wake up in a fountain with a tie wrapped around your head.]
[Action]
Rough comparison? [He points to Wolfwood's empty glass]
Four, five of those is equal to one of these.
Re: [Action]
[He picks up the glass.]
Hmm. I think I can handle that. [He laughs.] I've been drinking for as long as I can literally remember; it's shocking I don't everyday, all things considered.
[Sad but true, seeing a seven-year-old with a half-drunk liquor bottle? Not really too surprising in the magical world of Gunsmoke; bonus points if you're an orphan with stick fingers.
He shotguns the glass and wrinkles his nose before he can even swallow. Worse than anything he's drank.
Fortunately, he's not the kind to cough up good alcohol.
Holy cow, though. His breath is taken for a moment.]
Wooooow, that is some strong stuff for such a tiny glass.
[Action]
If you ever wanna get smashed in a hurry, five of those in a row will do it.
[And probably kill him! Or, you know, kill a normal human being]
Re: [Action]
[He's pretty recovered now, though give him a minute and he will be quite buzzed and happy with himself.]
Hey, could you pour some of that into a empty bottle? I told Vash I'd bring back something for him.
[Here be Wolfwood's own snicker.]
[Action]
If he asks, it's just good 'ol vodka, right?
Re: [Action]
Pfffft, I can't believe he even believes me at this point~
Here's hoping Meryl won't kick us two out afterward.
[Action]
He hands over the bottle like it's the key to Vash's ultimate demise]
I'm just sad I won't be able to see the results myself.
Re: [Action]
[With bottle under arm, he grabs the cross from the corner of the bar and carries it over shoulder, looking back and raising the drink.]
Have a good one, Sanji. Thanks for the drinks, eh?
[Action]
Take care of the Broom Head.
Re: [Action]
[And with that, he chuckles and makes his leave.]
