19th Confession [Action/Voice]

[Aaaall right, so it's been pretty eventful lately. With Amelia and Milly popping up, like most people, out of nowhere, Wolfwood's busied himself with being shell-shocked at the latter and humored at the former (it really is all true, Amelia, promise). With Knives and Legato still MIA (perhaps they'd left entirely? but he's not one to hope on that), not to mention, he's found himself just a little more relaxed than usual. And hey, the injury on his arm is just about healed up, to boot. Nothing much but a few stitches that were about ready to be removed. Of course he knew it was only a matter of time before something crazy happens again buuut... he'll take it one step at a time.

Firstly, he stops by the weapons shop to see if any ammo came in for his guns, because you can never have enough lengths of bullets for your machine-gun-cross. He also goes off to the forest to practice his fire in the forest, because he honestly hadn't done so in quite a while and heard the damn fire spirit's nagging voice every time he passed by the usual spot.]

Insult me all you want, it isn't going to get this fire any taller. Hell, I'll probably just make it smaller to bug you.

[And suddenly, a coat sleeve on fire. Whoop.]

Geez, geez, it was a joke! [patting it out, and then a beat] Fiery little bastard.

[He's been focused on just this one element for a while now, and the progress is felt in the explosion of fire he's able to make. When he was a kid, it was just a little fire at the end of a stick, but now--he's at least able to create fire as tall as he is.

And after that he'll go ahead and stop by the bar for a drink--even at Sanji's bar, maybe, despite the fact that curlybrow was going to give him A Look over the recent developments. It's overcast with murky clouds, but that hardly puts a damper on anything; Wolfwood rather likes the cool, muted look, himself. He also sights a little something at the item shop while he's out.]

So, Luceti. I've told a ton of people about my crappy little desert planet, but I'm curious--what's the landscape of your worlds like? The weather? Anything that you miss from it, or anything that you're glad you're not dealing with? It's been biting at me lately to ask.

By the way, welcome, new people. The name's Wolfwood, and I hope you have a fairly uneventful stay here--though, 'hope' is a very key word. But if there's anything you guys need, there's plenty of help around, myself included.

Sometimes the Malnosso try to appeal to our good sides by sending over things from home. I'm guessing they thought you'd probably not want to run around without it, you think?

Well it's very nice of them to bring it for me, maybe I should write them a thank you note?

[Oh. And let's not forget you too.]

And maybe I should write you a thank you note for finding it for me.

Ha, don't worry about it; neither's in need of a thank you note.

I was just making something to eat, but I was thinking I wanted to go out and take a walk, I can come and find you and maybe we could go for a walk together. If you wanted.

A walk, huh? I don't know, I'm reaaally busy—so much to do here, and so many people to see. I think I'll be swamped with all this stuff that I'll have to postpone a walk for a good month or two.

... But I think I can spare a walk, if you're interested in one.

Mm hmm! I'll be there, you just wait a little while and make sure that the strap doesn't break off my gun and drop on your foot, it can do that sometimes. It's very temperamental.

[And a little while later, there is a very cheery looking Milly walking in the general direction of the item shop, and she waves when she sees him.]

Hello! Are you hungry? I bought sandwiches.

[This is a Milly who is positively radiating happy just at the sight of him.]

[And he's very glad to see she's doing well. Huh, has it really almost been two weeks since she'd come here...? He grins, hefting up the gun. onto his shoulder.]

Sure am! Geez, it's like you can read my mind from the apartment. Do you have some secret ability you're not telling me about?

Nope! I just happen to be very in tune with my feminine intuition, that's all.

[She holds up a brown paper bag in which she has packed the sandwiches and then beams at the sight of the gun.]

Oh it really is my gun after all, I can't believe that you found it here.

[And then... it seems as though an internal conflict is playing itself out within Milly Thompson.

She would very much like to give him a kiss on the cheek.

BUT.

This is only, technically, their first date... or is it a date? It might be a date. Walking might count, and she did bring food so it might just be ok to call it a picnic...

Better not kiss him. That might be rushing things and they agreed to go slowly.]

So where is a nice place to go for a walk?

[Oh Milly, your inner decision-making would have him chuckling at you. No reason to think so hard on it, big gal; it'll come naturally.]

That depends on where you'd like to go. Have you gotten to look around the village pretty well so far?

I've looked around here and there, but I'm trying my best not to go getting myself in to trouble and give Meryl a headache. It's really pretty though, don't you think? With all the trees and the birds and the weather. Isn't the rain amazing?

[Tucks her hands behind her back and smiles.]

And I've met some very nice people too.

I was pretty surprised, seeing rain for the first time. But you're gonna find Luceti's full of crazy surprises.

[Aha, and slow down, Milly, he can't keep up! 3:^)]

What kind've people have you ran into so far?

Hmm...

[She ponders for a little bit.]

Well... I met a really lovely little girl the other day and we talked about pie, and then there's all the nice people who helped me when I arrived. They've all been very friendly and helpful.

[He's glad to hear that. And with Legato and Knives not around right now, he's even more relaxed on this walk. Even if he is carrying his cross, same ol' same ol'.]

Pretty crazy to see flowing water around here, huh?

[Because this must be brought up—we're gonna have to have a session, the lot of us, and learn how to swim. For real.]

Isn't it? And there's so much of it too, and no-one's fighting for it or even asking people to pay money, I think it's wonderful.

[You're just saying that because you want to see me in a swimsuit.]

[Oh and you're still carrying my stungun.]

You know, you should let me carry that, you've got a heavy enough burden to bear carrying all that mercy around.

[Here, have a wink.]

[Whoop, you're right! He flips that around in hand and offers it back with one arm. Because we unusually strong tall people gotta' stick together, amirite.]

Yeah, it's pretty great. But there is one little problem.

We desert people kind of have a problem swimming in it, don't we? So we'll all need to learn how when it's warm enough. Whaddya' think?

[Shoulders her stungun with a cheerful 'oof!' and then takes that arm you held it out with to link her own through.]

Swimming? Are you sure? That sounds awfully dangerous...

Exactly! Very dangerous!

That's why we have to learn it. It wouldn't be good, if you somehow were stuck in a situation where you had to know how to swim, right?

No it wouldn't, and it wouldn't be very good if you were either.

Who's going to teach us?

Well, we could either learn from whoever wants to teach us, or we could try to learn all by ourselves. What do you think?

...I think we probably need a teacher. I know that I'd sink right to the bottom like a great big pebble.

Hey! I wouldn't let you sink like a pebble, trust me. I'd gotten a little practice before the winter set in, anyway.

Though, I guess it wouldn't be too much to ask if the Strawhats would like to come help us...

I know you wouldn't. You'd jump right in after me and then we'd both get stuck and need rescuing, but at least then I'd be sinking in good company.

[She nudges him a bit with her shoulder and laughs]
