24th Confession [Partially Accidental Video/Action]

Ow, ow, ow, ow!!!

[This morning is starting off excellently, Wolfwood. Just peachy.

Ugh, what a headache. What a bodyache. They didn't have to be so rude about kidnapping him. Once the drugs have started to wear off and he can walk in a straight line, he'll retrieve the journal slung open against a tree and speak up into it, now that he notes it's recording anyway. Whelp, at least the journal was trying to offer an act of kindness. Even if it did squat... Nah, right now he was too worried about a.) Amelia's problems with Legato, b.) Vash being a dumbass while sick, and most of all, c.) how Milly's doing.]

Looks like I'm back. How long did they have me this time? [He makes a fist and presses his back grumpily; they also managed to give him back his clothes. How sweet.] And I think I actually got it good this time; no problems as far as I can tell...

...

Did I miss anything? Please tell me it was at least peaceful around here.

[Because we don't all have to come out of this annoyed, right?]

[action]

[You can catch him fully clothed and walking through or out of the forest. Maybe he'll stop by the restaurant or the bar. Gotta refuel myself, ya' know. Little does Wolfwood know, he's actually effected by his shitty luck mallynap: he can't answer any question untruthfully. Won't this be just good fun for a certain spikey-headed bastard. Otherwise, he's doing just peachy. B|]

[Yeah, well. Something about having a good friend come back from the Malnosso unharmed just improves things somehow.

Amelia heads out shortly after. Do you see the woman, or the cigarettes first?]

[Life is full of tough choices.

Look, a wave! Amelia waves back! Suddenly life seems a lot better all around.]

Hey! [She holds out the cigarettes when she gets close enough. Better than a hug, right?] So you're really okay?

Better now.

[Yeah, smoke away. Amelia won't even hassle you about it.]

Have the others gotten in touch with you yet? Everyone's been worried.

Good.

[Even with the crack about the Malnosso, Amelia's relief is pretty obvious. You worried her, Wolfwood. And she didn't even have a jeep to emo around.]

I'll bet. They don't sound like they're much for anything resembling basic human decency either.

[...So much for the good mood.]

The day you got taken. He showed up on the journals.

[And if Wolfwood is bringing it up this suddenly, there's not much else it could mean.]

He knows, right?

[Amelia knows it's important. But that doesn't mean she hates the whole thing any less, because the truth of it is? This is her mistake.]

I told him. [Amelia tightens her hands at her sides.] He said I didn't know who he was, so I told him. He was the one that killed you.

[Things get bottled up, then they explode all over the place.]

I tried to say I just knew you from here, and that you told me so I'd stay away from him. Guess he didn't buy it.

[Amelia's expecting that lecture. She deserves it, given how stupid and careless she was. But nope. Instead Wolfwood is telling her to come along for food. Not that Amelia actually moves at first. Too busy staring at him, completely dumbfounded.

And that request doesn't help much. Of course the first thing Amelia wants to know is exactly what she's been told not to ask, and it almost slips out before she can stop it. She catches herself though, and nods a little before she follows.]

You'll tell me when I can ask again. [Which comes out a lot like a question, given that Amelia doesn't see herself in a position to give Wolfwood orders. But they both know she has questions, ones that are all the more pressing, at least for her.]

[Vash's pile would still be bigger.

Amelia's fine with that answer, even if she's still not at ease with how simply Wolfwood is letting this all go. But her own guilt aside, that's just how these guys are.

And hey. Alcohol's a plus.]

Sounds like a plan.
