25th Confession [Written/Action][Early on the 23rd for MAXIMUM HEAT WAVE]

[Wolfwood's annoyed. Vash was snatched up just as things were getting calm, so to appease his gnawing aggravation over needle noggin's surprise vacation, he took to the lake more often; shockingly, he was getting pretty good at it, and as the days wore on, he was clearing more distance without stopping for a breather. Not to mention, staying stationary in Luceti meant losing muscle mass, and he had no room for losing the ability to tote that heavy son-of-a-bitch gun.

Of course, that talk with Sanji a few days back had him thinking. Always thinking, this one. He sits under a tree by the lake, still wet from the swim, with pen in hand. The question really takes him back. Reminds him of Vash and the girls, and of himself.]

Hey, a question—how many of you were nomadic? Traveled from place to place, not really labeling one single town or house as a home?

[....]

And what d'you think of being stuck in one place?

[Afterwards, he starts back home after practicing Fire and his just recently sought-after wind magic (he spends a great deal of his time dealing with the spirits, now, because getting better and stronger was important; protecting people was important). Catch him on the way back if you want, or out training in the fields, or prior, at the lake. Whatever floats your boat.]

Normadic... would be a good way to describe how I was back home, yeah.

It's pretty nice. In a way. It's just the place in question I don't like.

I wouldn't say world traveling, but definitely traveling.

It can get a little agitating, but it's been pretty nice too. Can't say I don't wish I picked a normal village back home to settle in though.

Well, it's more like that probably would've been a much better alternative than winding up in this place..

[JUST A LITTLE DRY HUMOR THERE! It'll probably cause dry laughter!]

Well I do enjoy the peace and quiet. [When there IS peace and quiet.] Things could get a little noisy back home, so it was hard to concentrate on my work.

What about you? How has your stay here been?

Yeah, that's true.

I'm a scientist. [What, scientists, ttly need to travel from place to place like a vagabond what.]

Hmm. Actually, let me rephrase that.

I'm a former scientist. After a certain turn of events I lost the job, and now I'm more of a traveler. [Which isn't entirely true. He's more like a criminal but DETAILS.]

No. They're not.

Let's just say there was a certain turn of events that left me incapable of continuing work in that field. [...] Are you familiar with radiation in anyway?

I used to be somewhat of a radiation specialist. But one day there was an accident and I was exposed to a very large amount of it. It left me incapable of continuing my work effectively, so I decided to take up traveling instead.

Yes. In my world there are certain people who undergo an advanced form of genetic mutation when exposed to some kind of extreme stimuli. These people are called mutates. And this is what I am.

The short version? Yes. A lot of shit.

Heh. Is this kind of like one of those plot twisting morals? Humanity is the real monster?

That's an interesting analogy. I've seen a lot of people here most people would deem a "monster" where I come from and... well usually they're just regular people. Or at least have similar personalities to what a regular person would have.

Besides some tweaks here and there it doesn't seem like our worlds are really all THAT different.

That's true too. I am from Earth, but I guess it's not really a version of Earth that is all that "normal" I suppose.

Even magic is not something that is entirely foreign to me. So it could just be easier for me to adjust I suppose.
