16th Confession [Voice/Action] Forward-dated to the 25th

I—
I CAN'T DO IT.
[Hey, Journal, hear
Miserable. Just miserable!
Granted, he's still carrying around a cross like it's nothing, so it shouldn't be too hard to figure out who he is. For now? He's just running around seeing what the hell's happened here. After all, people are in a panic, and he's needing to find people he knows to figure out what the hell is going on. This just had to be another event, right? First, he gets some normal-looking lady clothes for his bizarrely tall girl body (goddamn Milly, you're HUGE). He visits the apartment and eats, and then proceeds to go crash in his bed and try to sleep it off. Same as usual.
Except, fuck it, he can't. So instead he'll just be listening to all the panicked posts on the journal while shaking his head.
Her head.
...Eh.]
Re: [action]
That's not as much fun. That catches Mihai's attention, though, and he stops for a moment to look at the "woman." Some things just translate too well, regardless of where people are from.]
That's how it's been for as long as I've lived, anyway. About the best anyone could hope for was that the right kind of people made the better shots.
[A few steps down the aisle later, and Mihai will be reaching for one of his pistols.]
Looks like you were right. [He'll begin methodically checking the piece over, his motions far too easy and well-practiced.]
So what part do you play, if you don't mind me asking?
Re: [action]
I play the traveler who delivers mercy where it's due.
[And this lady is the one who normally derails that part of me.]
Re: [action]
That's a nice way to describe an ugly job.
[With the not-woman's back to him, Mihai lifts a hand, fingers searching for a scar that isn't on his eyebrow. This isn't his body, but the one that put that scar there, that killed--]
I'd tell you to get out, but I get the feeling that it's too late for that.
Re: [action]
It's a nice idea that I'd thrown around in my head, but I'm afraid it really is just a little too late for that.
[He leans back, chin tilted.]
Besides, I've learned how to play the devil to take care of better people... so I'm not too disappointed in how things ended up.
Re: [action]
It happens quicker than you think. You get dragged in, and it holds on like a dog that's sunk its teeth into your arm.
[Mihai smiles then, practiced but still easy, and takes the gun. The holsters are there too, and quickly enough the weapons are out of sight.]
You're probably too young to want to hear much talk like that, though. Especially if that last bit really holds true. Just don't dress like a devil too often. Even if it's for the best intentions, every pull of the trigger makes it less of an act, and more of who you are. And that young lady looks too nice to have a devil holding her hand.
Re: [action] 1/2
Re: [action]
[he stands straight, not caring to say much more than that]
And at any rate, I've got a friend around here who makes it really goddamn hard to become the act. Fortunately for me.
[He puts out his hand for a shake.]
The name's Wolfwood.
Re: [action]
Yeah? Sounds like a good friend, then.
[Mihai takes the hand, giving a firm shake. Despite the depressing topic, he's genuinely glad for how this little side trip turned out.] Mihai. The pleasure's mine.
Re: [action]
That all you were needing, Mihai? Wouldn't want to keep you waiting on something.
Re: [action]
Yeah. You've been a huge help. I'd offer you to buy you a drink, but without money, it loses its effect.
Re: [action]
As soon as I get out of this body? Just a toast will be good enough for me.
