16th Confession [Voice/Action] Forward-dated to the 25th

I—
I CAN'T DO IT.
[Hey, Journal, hear
Miserable. Just miserable!
Granted, he's still carrying around a cross like it's nothing, so it shouldn't be too hard to figure out who he is. For now? He's just running around seeing what the hell's happened here. After all, people are in a panic, and he's needing to find people he knows to figure out what the hell is going on. This just had to be another event, right? First, he gets some normal-looking lady clothes for his bizarrely tall girl body (goddamn Milly, you're HUGE). He visits the apartment and eats, and then proceeds to go crash in his bed and try to sleep it off. Same as usual.
Except, fuck it, he can't. So instead he'll just be listening to all the panicked posts on the journal while shaking his head.
Her head.
...Eh.]
Re: [action]
Are you looking for your gun, or is it just about any?
[He shifts the cross on his shoulder, unconsciously. Because he definitely knows you can probably find the one from your world, if you're needing it.]
Re: [action]
[Mihai notices that shift--trained assassin and all. He lets out a soft laugh, then motions to the cross.]
You know, that thing looks heavy. I can carry it for you if you need a break.
Re: [action]
No worries there, padre. I've hefted this thing around since I was a kid—and fortunately for me, this body was used to carrying around some heavy weaponry of her own.
[He nods toward the item shop.]
You might be able to find your own guns at the item shop, or at the weapon's place not too far from it. Chances are if they aren't there, they aren't in Luceti yet—but if you're lucky, someone in the weapon's place may have something for ya.
Re: [action]
[Not that he means to be critical, but given his line of work, Mihai can't really help it.]
The item shop and the weapons place. [Mihai looks in that general direction. At least the former is right there, which greatly reduces his chance of taking a wrong turn. Still, there is reason to be concerned.]
You're going to have to forgive me for imposing, but would you mind just walking with me? I'll probably have to give directions to the others when I get back, so it'd be better if I didn't try to find it on my own.
Re: [action]
[action]
[Let the man have his ridiculously huge
compensationweapon. Mihai would be happy enough to get back his guns. Which he'll immediately start looking for when they get inside.]If you know anything about guns, they're a pair of M1911s (http://www.arniesairsoft.co.uk/reviews/wa_1911_premium/premium-09.jpg).
[In case Wolfwood feels generous enough to help look.]
Re: [action]
Oi, leave my compensation out of this.Wolfwood is the generous type, fortunately, so he'll be looking along with the young!old man.]
Something about those guns you prefer?
Re: [action]
Kind of hard when it's that massive.]You could say I built a career on them.
[The laugh that follows isn't exactly full of joy; more like the bitter sound of a guy that's just seen too much.]
If I have a choice, I'll stick with the familiar. That's all.
Re: [action]
blame the author!]A career, huh? Can't say that's out of the ordinary, my world. Guns control everything—it seems like it's always been that way.
[He understands the bitter sound, being one who would laugh the same way, over the same idea. So there's no need for words there.]
Re: [action]
That's not as much fun. That catches Mihai's attention, though, and he stops for a moment to look at the "woman." Some things just translate too well, regardless of where people are from.]
That's how it's been for as long as I've lived, anyway. About the best anyone could hope for was that the right kind of people made the better shots.
[A few steps down the aisle later, and Mihai will be reaching for one of his pistols.]
Looks like you were right. [He'll begin methodically checking the piece over, his motions far too easy and well-practiced.]
So what part do you play, if you don't mind me asking?
Re: [action]
I play the traveler who delivers mercy where it's due.
[And this lady is the one who normally derails that part of me.]
Re: [action]
That's a nice way to describe an ugly job.
[With the not-woman's back to him, Mihai lifts a hand, fingers searching for a scar that isn't on his eyebrow. This isn't his body, but the one that put that scar there, that killed--]
I'd tell you to get out, but I get the feeling that it's too late for that.
Re: [action]
It's a nice idea that I'd thrown around in my head, but I'm afraid it really is just a little too late for that.
[He leans back, chin tilted.]
Besides, I've learned how to play the devil to take care of better people... so I'm not too disappointed in how things ended up.
Re: [action]
It happens quicker than you think. You get dragged in, and it holds on like a dog that's sunk its teeth into your arm.
[Mihai smiles then, practiced but still easy, and takes the gun. The holsters are there too, and quickly enough the weapons are out of sight.]
You're probably too young to want to hear much talk like that, though. Especially if that last bit really holds true. Just don't dress like a devil too often. Even if it's for the best intentions, every pull of the trigger makes it less of an act, and more of who you are. And that young lady looks too nice to have a devil holding her hand.
Re: [action] 1/2
Re: [action]
[he stands straight, not caring to say much more than that]
And at any rate, I've got a friend around here who makes it really goddamn hard to become the act. Fortunately for me.
[He puts out his hand for a shake.]
The name's Wolfwood.
Re: [action]
Yeah? Sounds like a good friend, then.
[Mihai takes the hand, giving a firm shake. Despite the depressing topic, he's genuinely glad for how this little side trip turned out.] Mihai. The pleasure's mine.
Re: [action]
That all you were needing, Mihai? Wouldn't want to keep you waiting on something.
Re: [action]
Yeah. You've been a huge help. I'd offer you to buy you a drink, but without money, it loses its effect.
Re: [action]
As soon as I get out of this body? Just a toast will be good enough for me.
